Steps

  1. Open Audits in the sidebar and click New audit (a client’s page has a New audit button too).
  2. Pick the Client (add one first if needed), or choose No client (one-off audit).
  3. Pick the Audit type.
  4. Enter the Page URL, for example yourclient.com/services.
  5. For Keyword Score types, enter the Target keyword (at least 3 characters).
  6. For a Local SEO audit, enter the City or service area, for example Austin, TX.
  7. Pick the Report language. There are 12 report languages.
  8. Click Run audit.

The report opens and fills in while the audit runs. See Read your audit score and report.

How long it takes

  • A basic audit usually takes under a minute. The progress screen shows each step and the time left.
  • The + types add Google Lighthouse for desktop and mobile. They take about a minute longer.
  • You can leave the page. The audit keeps running, and you can open it later under Audits.

Limits by plan

Page audits and advanced audits are counted each month from your billing date.

Limits depend on your plan. See the current limits on the pricing page and in Plans and prices. Trial limits are in How the 14-day free trial works.

When you reach a limit, the app says “You have used all … this month”. You can add more audits in Billing & plan. See Change your plan and add-ons.

Common questions

How long does an audit take?

A basic audit usually takes under a minute. Advanced audits with Google Lighthouse take about a minute longer. If an audit is still not finished after about 20 minutes, it stops with the message The audit took too long.

Which audit should I choose?

Use Keyword Score when a page should rank for one search term. Use Web Page Audit for a full on-page check without a keyword. The + versions add Google Lighthouse for desktop and mobile. GEO audit checks readiness for AI search, and Local SEO audit checks local signals.

Does a failed audit count against my limit?

No. Failed audits stop counting. Re-running an audit creates a new audit and uses one more from your monthly limit.
