Google data is connected per client website. You sign in with Google once per data source and pick the property or location for that client.
Steps
- In the sidebar, under Reporting, open Search Console, Google Analytics or Business Profile. You can also open the client from Clients and click Connect in the Integrations panel on its Overview tab.
- Pick the client in the client website picker.
- Click Connect Search Console, Connect Google Analytics or Connect Business Profile.
- Sign in with the Google account that has access to the client’s data, and allow access.
- Back in the app, choose the property for this client. The matching property is marked Matches this client and already selected.
- Search Console properties are marked Domain property or URL prefix.
- For Business Profile, choose the location.
- Click Connect selected property (or Connect selected location).
The data appears on the page for that client. Search Console data is about 2 days behind, and Business Profile data about 3 days behind.
Change or disconnect
Open Search Console, Google Analytics or Business Profile and pick the client. When it is connected, the page header shows Change property (or Change location) and Disconnect. If the connection stops working, see Reconnect Google.
If no property is listed
- Search Console: add and verify the site first in Search Console › Add property (how to verify), then connect again. If the site is already verified by someone else, ask them to add your Google account in Search Console › Settings › Users and permissions.
- Google Analytics: create a GA4 property for the site first (Google’s set-up guide), or sign in with the Google account that has access. To give an account access, the property owner opens Google Analytics › Admin › Property › Property access management.
- Business Profile: sign in with the Google account that owns or manages the profile (check in Business Profile manager), or ask the owner to add you as a manager (how to add managers).
Common questions
Do I connect Google once for all clients?
No. Each client website is connected separately, once per data source. You pick the property or location that belongs to that client.
What access does the app ask for?
Read-only access for Search Console and Google Analytics. Business Profile uses Google's business.manage permission, which is the access Google offers for Business Profile data.
