Monitor backlinks and look up any domain

Monitor the top 1,000 backlinks of client websites each month, and look up the backlinks of any domain on Scale and Enterprise.

Backlinks has two tabs: Monitored websites for your clients, and Lookup for any other domain.

Monitor a client website

  1. Open Backlinks and click Add website.
  2. Pick the Client website. If it isn’t listed, add the client first.
  3. Save. The first list of the top 1,000 backlinks is ready in about an hour.

You then see referring domains, total backlinks, authority score, new and lost links, the anchor text mix and the top backlinks. Use Export CSV to download the list.

Backlinks refresh every month. Weekly updates are an add-on in Billing & plan.

Look up any domain

  1. Open Backlinks › Lookup.
  2. Enter the Domain, without https://, for example competitor.com.
  3. Run the lookup.

You see referring domains, backlinks, authority score, follow links and the top referring domains. Looking up the same domain again within 30 days doesn’t count again.

Limits by plan

Limits depend on your plan. See the current limits on the pricing page and in Plans and prices. Trial limits are in How the 14-day free trial works.

Add websites in Billing & plan under Backlinks: Extra websites, with monthly or weekly updates. The prices are shown there and on the pricing page. Older (legacy) plans don’t include backlinks.

How often are backlinks refreshed?

Every month. Weekly updates are an add-on; the price is shown in Billing & plan and on the pricing page.

Which plans have backlink lookups?

Scale and Enterprise, with a monthly number of lookups that depends on the plan (see the pricing page). The free trial shows sample data.
