When you add keywords, a first check starts at once. It usually takes 2 to 5 minutes. You can leave the page. When it is done, you get a “Rankings ready” notice in the bell. Your projects are in Keyword tracking.
What the position column means
| You see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Checking… | The first check is running now. |
| Pending first check | The keyword is waiting for its first check. |
| First check queued… | The check starts in a moment. Positions appear as they come in. |
| Not in top 30 | The site was not in the first 30 Google results at the last check. |
| A number | The Google position at the last check. |
After the first check
- Your plan’s keywords are checked every week, on Monday.
- Extra keywords with the daily add-on are checked every day. See Daily updates and extra keyword pricing.
Still no positions after an hour?
- Open the project in Keyword tracking and check that its Website is the right domain.
- Check that your plan still has keywords left. The page shows how many are used. Add more in Billing & plan.
- If it still shows nothing, ask in the chat inside the app.
Common questions
What does Not in top 30 mean?
The site was not in the first 30 Google results for that keyword, location and device at the last check.
How long until I see the first positions?
The first check starts as soon as you add keywords and usually takes 2 to 5 minutes.
