An audit widget is a free SEO audit form for a website. Every visitor who runs an audit becomes a lead.

Create the widget

  1. Open Audit widgets and click New widget (or go straight to New widget).
  2. Type: enter a Widget name (only you see it), pick the Client website (add a client first if needed), and choose the Placement:
    • Fixed form: sits inside the page content.
    • Popup: opens from a button, after 10 seconds, or when the visitor is about to leave.
    • Slim bar: a thin strip at the top or bottom of the page.
    • Full-screen takeover: covers the page until closed. Shown once per visitor per day.
  3. Fields: choose which fields to show: Name, Email, Phone, Website URL, Keyword and Consent. Email and Website URL are always on. The consent checkbox can’t be pre-ticked; link its text to your privacy policy.
  4. Design: start from a theme, then set the title, description, button text, font, colours and corner radius.
  5. After submit: choose Show report on screen, Email report or Redirect to URL. Here you can also set:
    • the Report language (12 languages)
    • Use the advanced audit (Lighthouse), if your plan includes it (see Plans and prices)
    • a Branded thank-you email to the lead, with or without the PDF report
    • Notify me by email for every new lead
    • Send leads to your email tool. See Send leads to your email tool.
  6. Click Create widget. The embed code opens.

Add it to a website

  1. Click Copy code.
  2. Paste it on the site:
    • Fixed form: put the code where the form should appear, for example under the hero section.
    • Other types: put it just before the closing </body> tag.
    • WordPress: theme footer (footer.php) or your theme’s custom code setting.
    • Shopify: in Shopify admin › Online Store → Themes → Edit code → theme.liquid.
    • Webflow and Wix: Site settings → Custom code → Footer code (Wix: Wix dashboard › Settings › Custom code).
  3. Click Check installation.

You can copy the code again at any time with the Copy embed code icon in the widget list.

Pause, duplicate or delete

In the widget list, use the switch to Pause or Go live. Use Duplicate to copy a widget (the copy starts paused) and Move to trash to delete it. Widgets in trash stop collecting leads; you can Restore them. Leads appear in Leads; see Leads and CSV export.
